Beside-the-Press Granulators are plastic granulators used in
processing rejected parts from injection molding machines, blow molding
machines and extrusion lines. They are able to be moved easily to
different locations in a plant because of their size and versatility.
Granulators can be configured to be hand-fed, conveyor-fed or robot-fed.
Smaller models can be designed with a bin discharge, while larger
machines usually have an air conveying system with blower and cyclone.
Models can be open rotor or closed rotor or staggered rotor to handle
harder to cut material. For clean applications or when dust and noise
are a concern, a low speed granulator model may be used. With processers
greater demand for uniform quality regrind, a screen-less beside the
press granulator can help, by minimizing fines and longs and providing a
uniform granulate.
